Youth in Service Project

You have an opportunity to get our youth involved in caring for church property and help us avoid insurance claims by identifying safety hazards or items in need of repair. It’s easy! Have your youth group complete a facility inspection on your church buildings and give the report to your Church Board of Trustees, and you will receive $100 for your youth fund! The gift is limited to the first 100 churches to sign up for this project.

The Conference Council on Youth Ministries and the Conference Council on Young Adult Ministries will begin meeting in September for the 2011/2012 year. This is an exciting time to be a part of leadership in the United Methodist Church. Both committees actively serve young people in our conference through activities, scholorship awards, ministry funding, and collaboration. If you are interested in serving on CCYM or CCYA contact your district coordinators, district offices, or the Center for Young Leaders a youngpeople@cal-pac.org.

Youth Service Fund 2011

Youth Service Fund (YSF) is a fund created by youth and for youth.
Each year the youth of our Annual Conference offer grants from our Youth Service Fund for youth related projects.
The applications are reviewed, and recipients are selected by our Conference Council of Youth Ministries (CCYM).
All projects must be for the benefit of: young people, and priority will be given to those projects that are youth-led first.

An experience with young people ages 14-18 dedicated to the appreciation, and celebration of how African cultures from the Americas, Caribbean and the continent are present in the United States. Through fellowship, workshops, sports, Bible Study & worship, young people will explore their identity in culture, Church & Christ in search of relevant solutions to real challenges through practical applications.
