Sex Education Seminar

Dear Fellow Pastors and Youth Directors!

Please save the following dates of October 22-24, 2010 for a very special seminar concerning youth and parents on the topic of “Love, Sex and Relationships”. Garden Grove UMC Youth Ministry is hosting a Sex Education Seminar facilitated by Rev. Mary Kay Will who is a certified instructor through our Annual Conference. We are encouraging high school students (9-12 grade) and parents to participate in this important seminar. The weekend will involve far more than just facts for it will focus upon topics from dating to decision-making, from birth control to Biblical guidelines, and from relationship to reproduction.

The format of the weekend includes some presentations (videos, talks,skits) for the whole group, plus a lot of time in smaller discussion groups. Of course there will be break times with snacks/meals and an opportunity for informal fellowship. This seminar offers our youth a chance to experience, to grow, to learn what they need to know as they enter adulthood.

Please let me know as soon as possible how many youth from your ministry will be joining us as well as their names and addresses so we can provide a formal letter of invitation and registration. To offset the cost we are requesting $25 per youth family. I invite you to contact me if you have any questions.
